Freeport

The village was established in 1810, in Tuscarawas County. It was brought into Harrison County in 1819 with a boundary change. The town was so named because it was a free port on the Stillwater Creek.

Sixteen-sided barn. One mile south of Freeport. Built in 1921, one of only three in America.
Skull Fork Covered Bridge. Just south of the 16-sided barn, it is the last of County Rd. 167 covered bridges.
Stone Jail. 1889 lockup was used until 1937.
