| UPDATE - November 2002 (pictures actually taken the
week of Cade's birthday) Cade took his first flight north to Ohio to visit Grandma & Grandpa Carstens. He celebrated his first birthday party and learned to crawl in the bigger lattitudes. |

| UPDATE - April 20,2002
Cade took his first road trip north to Orlando to visit relatives. He visited with his Great Grandmother Windsor, his Great Aunt Judy, and with his Uncle Chris and Aunt Mary. |

| UPDATE - Mid-April 2002
Granddad and Grandmother Carstens visited Cade in April. They may have been a questionable influence as Cade now wants to join a band and is beginning to wear groovy necklaces. His table manners are also in question... He did clean up well for his first trip to a professional photographer and settled in later at home for some pictures with his parents and Grandmother. |

| UPDATE - April Fools Day, 2002
Cade at 7 months (adjusted age 4 months) is smiling more, eating/spilling once a day, and learning to relax on Dad's favorite chair before sleeping away the afternoon on Grandad's shoulder. He's 12 lbs. 3 ozs. and growing. |

| UPDATE - February 25, 2002
Cade is now about 6 mo's. old and around 11 pounds and smiling a bit more these days. Having outgrown newborn clothes and his bassinet, he now resides in his traveling crib. He's able to go off oxygen for long periods of time which has given him time to develop a liking for sucking his fingers, especially his thumb. |

The day finally came. Cade is home resting up and Carolyn and Geoff are not- resting up that is. Cade is home, still borrowing some air from a machine and on a few medications for awhile but doing just fine. Here's the first couple of pictures taken at home... |

UPDATE OCT. 31
Cade at 9 weeks old. Now weighing in at 4lbs. and 17 inches from head to toe. Still in the NICU. Shown below in order are Great Grandmother Marcella Chretien, Grandfather Pete Chretien, Grandmother Kitty Chretien, and Grandfather Fred. |
