Hey everyone,

I have finally gotten around to writing everyone a letter about how I am doing and sending it to you and to Greg so you will stop bugging me about it. Not that I blame you. I really haven't told anyone about my trip or my stay or anything that is going on here. Well you know why? Because I'm having so much fun! I don't want to rub it in that you all have to go to work and school and I get to hang out with the greatest people on earth.

The Danish people - well what do you say about the Danish people? They are very good looking and they are very tall and they are very funny. The guys are a little immature but I think it makes them more fun. They drink all the time and party. Boy, do they know how to party.

My class is awesome. It consists of 6 girls and 17 Danish guys. They are all very nice and they love it that I’m learning Danish so fast. I can already understand most everything, but I'm not as good at talking because, as they put it, I have a funny cowboy accent. But I guess I have to live with it since it is not going anywhere.

Life in Denmark is so much fun. Whenever you want to go somewhere you just hop on the bus and go. But it kind of stinks that the last bus runs at 12.00 PM because the parties don't really start until 10:00 PM. But it is okay because I'm not in Denmark to party even though it is fun to do in my spare time.

My host family is great. They have two boys who don't speak a word of English, so I actually have to learn the language - and my host parents don't allow the English language in the house anymore.

I have made lots of friends.

I know Rotary said that no one attended church here so I know they will say I told you so, especially since the National religion is Protestant, but I went to the Catholic Church and there were a total of 4 people there. I tried to go to confession and the priest couldn't speak any English, so I had to do confession in German because anyone over 50 can't speak English but can speak fluent German. So that was really bad, since I know he probably couldn't understand most of it, since he kept making me repeat it.

The food in Denmark is tolerable, I suppose, but I don't recommend it to anyone especially the brown bread. If anyone offers this to you run - seriously run. I have been chocking it down for the last two months, just so I'm not rude. But I'm just now starting to be able to tolerate it. And their black salt liquorish! They say it is the best. It tastes like you are eating a piece of salt and they love to give it to foreigners just to see their faces. It is rude to refuse it, so no matter how many times they have given it to you, you still have to take it - even though you know it will make you cringe.

I also learned never say you don't know who David Beckem of Manchester United is, because they will throw a fit. But it was a good way to get them to take me to a soccer match. We have tickets for when Manchester United plays Odense, Denmark. I also have heard some really great music and I think I’m finally becoming Danish because I'm obsessed with my mobile phone just like the Danes.

Love Veronica
