Yes, I know I haven’t been writing many e-mails lately. I guess the reason is because I’m having a great time. I haven’t had any problems socially, and I think the documents I needed have all been made. I’m just waiting for my identification (still).

Everyone here tells me that I learned Portuguese very quickly, that’s nice to know. I guess the extra work that I did in the US helped a bit, as I was pretty much fluent by 2 months. But of course you always learn new words and conjugations. I haven’t been able to find a Portuguese class here, though I’ve tried.

I just moved families. My first family was great, but I can still see them (its within walking distance, like almost everything here) So its ok. I haven’t been here long, but this house seems good too. I get along with my sister. She’s funny. I’m going with her to Belo Horizonte this weekend because she has to take a test. So I think I’ll try to see the new Harry Potter movie, but I’m sure it’ll be in English with subtitles in Portuguese. Too bad - I love watching films in Portuguese.

Hmm I just sent a bunch of pictures to everyone, but some e-mail accounts had some problems, so you may not have gotten them. I still haven’t learned to cook anything here besides brigadeiro (resembles fudge, but much softer. its easy) but I should. Yes, I’m doing very well with meeting people here, its nice. I guess its because it was a bit of news that I came and everyone has been so welcoming. I can already tell that I’m going to miss it here so much!!! I guess that’s all for now. I promise I won’t disappear (not literally). My Brazilian friends wouldn’t allow that. All of them tell me not too. Haha.
