So here is my weekly update:

Not too much right now.

Monday and Tuesday were normal days. Wednesday was a holiday here. The French community holiday, not that anyone paid any attention to it, but we were all out of school. The holiday represents the day of French freedom. We did have a special dinner – mussels. They were ok. I’d never tried them before. They were different, but good.

And so Thursday wasn’t our everyday Rotary meeting. To begin with, it wasn't at lunchtime. It was in the evening. It was ladies night and it was a car show exposition -- very different. I checked out the weird but gorgeous cars. Then there was the factor that I don't like vegetables for supper and we had spinach soup. Yuck! Claudia ate mine and then we had chicken on top of cooked vegetables. Jen who doesn't like potatoes and me who doesn’t like vegetables and the three exchange students passed our food to each other. It was amusing. The place was oh so beautiful. Then the adults either left or stayed to drink. So Claudia’s dad came and got her and Jen, and Samira got a ride home from a Rotarian, because we all had school the next day. But I arrived home around 1 in the morning and still went to school -- very tired. I can't explain how much I HATE GYM especially when I am half awake and I have to run. Yuck!

Tomorrow Rotary has an auction. All four exchange students were supposed to go but, well, its been narrowed down to just me. Sunday it’s me again with Rotary for a walk through the forest. For that it’s just Claudia and me.

So everything has been going awesome for me and I'm so glad Belgium happened to be the country I received of the many that I had selected (for those who know my story.) That’s all for now. And, oh yeah, Lauren, who is in Italy right now, and I are planning to meet up in Italy. That’s another thing -- you can see you friends in other countries by train in a few hours.

Thanks again Rotary

Tracey
