This week was different from others because I had my Rotary Wednesday and we went to see the Belgny mines, which were cool. I have never seen a mine before, only heard from my great grandpa. We went in the mine, where we were divided into groups from our country and the instructor who was Belge, but spoke English lol, walked us through the mine and gave examples of a lot of noise and different machines and laughed at us when he didn't understand our jokes.
Then Friday I went with my friends from school to the cafe in town early, since gym was canceled, and returned with my host father home. Then yesterday I went kayaking. It was fun, but very, very tiring for me because the Belge are almost all in shape and well, its me, and I’m not in shape, lol. We kayaked and then on my way home Samaria and Claudia caught the bus and I took the train. Dumb idea, ‘cause once again, I didn’t end up where I was supposed to be!!!! LOL. I ended up in Eupen, two stops farther than mine. So Jean_Pierre and Samaria retrieved me laughing and me, about to cry, cause I was scared and mad at myself lol.
Then we all hurried up and changed, because we had a wedding to go to, which was beautiful by the way. The bride was Mexican and the groom Belge. We danced and had fun until 3 in the morning (I have to say the Belge know how to have fun and stay out really, really late)
Wednesdays school finishes at noon and the kids all get together and do something. But in my case its Rotary and I get together and do something. Thursdays I have three hours of class and then I’m excuse from three other classes for Rotary meetings but I return for one class. Our Rotary meetings are oh so different too.
Then today I slept in till 2:30 in the afternoon, when my family took me to Wallonia for the weekend of Wallonia thing. It was fun. We stopped at the Sophie art exhibit and to see Jean_Pierre’s cousin also. We stayed there for a while and talked and had Belgium fun, lol.
Well, just writing my update talk to every one.
Later,
Tracey
