Hello everyone,

This weekend, I went with Angélique's family, my host family in April, May and June, to the Astérix theme park, which is like Disneyland, only it's for this French cartoon. It's a cute cartoon. We watched it all the time in French class. It was a pretty good park. It had a couple big roller coaster that I went on till I couldn't walk straight, several water rides, so we were all wet and cold for half the day, but they were fun, and a few other rides there. Overall, it was awesome, and we all slept really hard on the way home, which was about three hours because the park is on the North side of Paris.

Nothing else too exciting to report right now. I'm getting terribly frustrated with my French Literature class because I've had so much trouble understanding the text that we're reading, Lambeaux. This week has also been difficult for me, and I've been pretty homesick. I still don't have enough language skills to ask friends to do stuff with me on the weekends, and I feel rather dumb sometimes asking people for help. Marte, the Norwegian exchange student here, has been really helpful and supportive. When we don't have a class, she walks with me into town to help me do things, because her host family already showed her how. But she lives about 20 minutes outside of town, so it's hard to get to see her outside of school.

I have one more month with this host family, and then I change. I've already met the mom and dad, and I think I'll feel at home in their house. I hope so.

That's it for now. I hope to get some e-mails from all of you, hopefully it'll help my homesickness some.

Bisous,
Aimee Shaw
