Today's *Major* Update

I changed the color of all my hyperlinks today to match my current color scheme. In the table of contents, unvisited links are yellow and visited links are purple. In all of my(Michael's Pages), unvisited links are teal and visited links are purple. Tell me what you think of the change!

Nuclear Fallout!!!!!!

Guess what! Judgement Day(August 29th, 1997) has come and passed and there hasn't been a nuclear disaster. This event was predicted in the Terminator movies. Thank goodness we're all still here.

I added an old news section today. You can find all the news from August there. The news found on this page will be from September from now until October.

Wow, another update!?

Well, I made an update today. That makes two in one week(a first for me)! I went through all of my(Michael's) pages and made them all fit this web page's color scheme. Tell me if you think it's cool!

A Small Anecdote(Story)

Yesterday morning, I was checking the voice mail(I hadn't answered the phone originally because I had been at work until midnight the previous night) and this lady said "this message is for Michael Gilbert." I wondered what she was going to *try* to sell me. But no, she calmly told me I had lost my $450 engineering scholarship to OSU, but I was instead awarded a $1200 university scholarship along with a $450 engineering scholarship. As you could imagine, I was ecstatic!

Meanwhile, my mom was coming in the door. I went and unlocked it while the lady was rambling on about something. My mom must have seen the glazed look in my eyes. After I hung up the phone, I looked at her, and she gave me this strange look. I calmly told her that I won a $1200 scholarship. I mean this really made my day and my parents day. It's a huge burden off of all our shoulders. Anyway, that's my anecdote, hope you like it.

Quake -- About me

I got rid of the Quake section today. It was pretty pointless. I'm still working on a mod right now. Don't hold your breath for it though. In place, I added a section about myself.

Physics During the Summer?

I know reading sux, but you have to check out "The Physics of Star Trek": by Lawrence M. Krauss(available *now* at a library near you). It's got lots of current cool scientific stuff that relates to the science found in Star Trek.

Woah, an update!

I know I said I would update more often... I'm trying. I've been busy the last week. For now, the most this page will be updated is probably twice a week.

Work sucks!

I've been working my butt of at Nickel's Bakery lately. I cannot wait till this friggin' job is over with...in four weeks. Then I get to got to college. Yeah!

Horrible Spelling

Checked my spelling on these pages. Lot's of mistakes! Hope they're all fixed now. If you find any, e-mail me!

Interesting Fonts

Changed the font on my interests page. You have to have the Comic Sans font to see the difference. Most win95 machines come standard with it.

Michael's Pages Updates!

I added a Computer Information page today with lots of links to computer related stuff, and updated Michael's page to link to ALL my other pages! I also fixed the links to pages so they wouldn't show up in my frames.

Doug's Pages?

Well, my brother Doug still hasn't gotten around to learning HTML, so there is currently nothing on his pages. I don't know if he will ever get to it. When and if he does, I'll make an announcement about it.

Me Gots a Counter!

As of a August 5th, I have a counter that works! It took me a long time to find one that wasn't only limited to that counter's particular service. So it's all good now. I got it at http://counter.bloke.com, if you're looking for a counter, go there.
